Worcester's Alisan Porter is 'The Voice'

On Monday and Tuesday, it was down to the final four of The Voice.

WORCESTER, MA—Worcester's own Alisan Porter has been crowed "The Voice," an early favorite who brought pride and attention to a city packed with untapped talent.

Season 10 ended this week with performances on The Voice on Monday and Tuesday night, whittling the final four down to one who shall be crowned the top singer in "The Voice."The contestants-Alisan Porter-Adam Wakefield, Laith Al-Saadi and Hannah Huston performed their final numbers on Monday, with the finale on Tuesday.

"Let's face it. Any of the final four deserve to win the finale," declared the LA Times.

In the finals, reduced judge Christina Aguilera to tears with her original "Down that Road" during the final performances. She also belted out "Somewhere" and duetted with Aguilera on "You've Got a Friend."

The season kicked off in February with Aguilera joining Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams as this season's coaches, with auditions held in Detroit, Los Angeles, New York City and Oklahoma City. Making it through the initial blind auditions and off to the battles, Porter won week 1 of the live playoffs singing "Cry Baby." She made the Top 12 and earned the public's vote with her rendition of "Stone Cold." By week four of the live performances, Porter was in the Top 10. In the semifinals, she sang the Eagles "Desperado" to move on to the finals.
