Marijuana-Laced Candy Found at Wrentham School: ICYMI
Wrentham police said they charged two King Philip Regional High School students after finding marijuana candy in Starburst packaging.
WRENTHAM, MA β Two King Philip Regional High School students were recently charged after police said they found them in possession of marijuana-laced candy wrapped in Starburst packaging. The names, genders, and ages of the students were not released. Wrentham police said one sold the candy and the other purchased it.
Police said they launched an investigation January 18 after receiving information from school officials that marijuana-infused candy was found on school property. Testing confirmed the candy β wrapped in discarded pink Starburst packaging β was infused with marijuana, police said.
"Wrentham police and (school officials) believe this was an isolated incident," police said in a statement. "(We) will not tolerate anyone selling drugs on or near school property. Offenders will be prosecuted in criminal court in addition to facing expulsion or other disciplinary actions by the school."
