📰 News we're reading

• On Ramp Traffic Light Causes A Stir And Confusion (iheart.com) — Drivers in Wrentham are reacting to a new traffic light and crosswalk on the I-495 on-ramp by the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, installed to protect pedestrians. State Rep. Marcus Vaughn says the design aims to let people cross safely, but frequent drivers argue there are hardly any pedestrians at that spot and question why the signal is needed there.

• Ryan Costello is posting monumental time drops and has Newton North cross-country off to a perfect start (bostonglobe.com) — High school cross-country teams from across Massachusetts will converge on the Wrentham Developmental Center course this Saturday for a rare doubleheader: the rescheduled Frank Kelley Invitational during the day and the Bay State Invitational in the evening. Organizers expect a long 16-hour day as programs choose which meet to enter, while standout runners and top-ranked teams chase early-season momentum.
