Scott Brown Tapped By Trump For Ambassador Role
But where he's going can't seem to get over his old modeling days.

BOSTON, MA β Former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown has been nominated by President Trump to serve as ambassador to New Zealand.
Brown, a Republican who in 2010 filled the seat once belonging to Ted Kennedy before losing in 2012 to Elizabeth Warren, was rumored for different positions after Trump won the election. He was said to be considered for the Department of Veterans Affairs but was ultimately passed over.
Brown met with Trump last November regarding the post of VA secretary, telling reporters at the time, βWe obviously spoke about my passion and his passion, which [is] veterans and veterans issues. You know, obviously I think the toughest job in the cabinet is to lead the VA, because while it has so many angels working there, it has so many great problems as well. He is going to obviously take my application, interest under consideration.β

Brown was a local selectman and state senator from Wrentham after graduating from Wakefield High School, Tufts and Boston College Law School.
The last ambassador to New Zealand was former Chicago White Sox outfielder Mark Gilbert. But it seems like this time, the island nation is excited to have someone with Brown's modeling background.
