3 MI Cities Among Best Honeymoon Destinations In Nation: Report

MICHIGAN — A handful of Michigan cities were deemed some of the best and most affordable honeymoon destinations, according to a website.

HoneymoonAlways surveyed 3,000 couples to determine the most affordable US honeymoon destinations in 2023, and three Michigan cities cracked the top 150.

Here are the three Michigan cities that made the list:

No. 54 Petoskey

Petoskey sits along Lake Michigan's shoreline in northern Michigan and is known for its sandy beaches, colorful sunsets and hiking trails. Some of the most popular hotels in the Petoskey area include Bay Inn of Petoskey, Stafford's Perry Hotel and the Apple Tree Inn.

No. 89 Munising

Munising sits in Michigan's Upper Peninsula along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Lake Superior. Along with Pictured Rocks, some of the most popular hotels in the area include the Pictured Rocks Inn & Suites, Buckhorn Resort and Cherrywood Lodge.

No. 133 Marquette

Marquette also sits in Michigan's Upper Peninsula along Lake Superior, and is known for various activities, such as exploring waterfalls and sandy beaches. Marquette is also home to the historic Marquette Habor Lighthouse, which was originally built in 1853.
