MI Gas Prices Fall For Third Straight Week: AAA

Michigan's Monday average is 23 cents less than this time last month and 94 cents less than this time last year, according to AAA.​

MICHIGAN — Gas prices across Michigan fell Monday for the third straight week, according to AAA.

Prices for a regular gallon of gas in Michigan fell 11 cents from last week to $3.38 a gallon Monday, according to AAA. The national average was $3.54.

Michigan's Monday average is also 23 cents less than this time last month and 94 cents less than this time last year, according to AAA.

Gas prices in metro Detroit also continued through downward trend Monday, falling 10 cents from last week to $3.38, according to AAA. Monday's average is 20 cents cheaper than last month and 92 cents cheaper than this time last year.

"Michigan motorists continue to see lower prices at the pump for the third straight week," said Adrienne Woodland, spokeswoman for AAA, which tracks prices at about 120,000 stations nationwide. "If demand remains low, drivers will likely see gas prices continue to decline."

The most expensive places to get gas were in Traverse City ($3.65), Marquette ($3.52) and Ann Arbor ($3.47). The cheapest places to get gas were in Grand Rapids ($3.33), Flint ($3.33) and Benton Harbor ($3.35).
