Country Living Magazine ranked the top 55 small towns for fall foliage in the nation. Here's where two Michigan towns were ranked.

MICHIGAN — Two small towns in Michigan's Upper Peninsula were picked among the best spots for fall foliage across the U.S. by a popular travel magazine.
Country Living Magazine placed Munising at No. 10 and Ontonagon at No. 33. The two small towns were picked among 55 small towns that included other stunning views in New Hampshire, Tennessee, Utah and more.
Munising, where Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on the south shore of Lake Superior is located, offers leaf-peepers "eye-catching" views of fall foliage among stunning waterfalls, according to the magazine.

There are multiple ways to see Munising's fall colors, including routes along roadways and bike paths, according to the Munising Visitors Bureau.
"Take H-58 to Miners Castle Road, then continue on to Grand Marias on one of the most scenic roads you will ever experience," the visitor's center said. "Take H13 south, or M94 goes west and south, which are very well maintained and have hiking trails and waterfalls for you to explore."
