MICHIGAN — The Mackinac Bridge Authority shared a social video media video Thursday showing ice falling from the bridge's towers, forcing the bridge to close for multiple days last week.

The video, which can be seen here, showed ice plummet nearly 200 feet onto the roadway last Thursday, creating dangerous driving conditions that forced officials to close the bridge.

Coincidentally, this was the same day a woman tried to cross the closed bridge, after she said she was "tired of waiting" for the bridge to reopen. She drove for about a mile before officers stopped her and escorted her off the bridge.
