You Can Go Fishing For Free Across Michigan This Weekend

State officials waived all fishing license fees, recreation passports and trail permit​s this weekend.

MICHIGAN — You can go fishing, visit state parks or ride Michigan's trails for free this weekend!

State officials waived all fishing license fees for Saturday and Sunday (June 11 and June 12), as part of the "Three Free" weekend, where residents and nonresidents can grab a fishing rod. All fishing regulations will still apply.

In addition, a Recreation Passport will not be required to enter into state parks and boating access sites during the free weekend.

You can also ride Michigan's off-road trails for free as state officials will not require an ORV license or trail permit this weekend. All other ORV rules and laws still apply.
