• State, fed officials fan out to survey storm damage across 30 counties (woodtv.com) — Allegan County is among more than 30 Michigan counties being surveyed by state and federal teams after recent flooding and tornadoes, a first step toward possible federal disaster aid. Officials are validating local damage reports to help the governor decide whether to seek a presidential disaster declaration, which could unlock FEMA and Small Business Administration assistance for affected homeowners and businesses.
