Sketch Released of 'Cop' You Shouldn't Trust
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is offering a $1,000 reward in the arrest and conviction of a man who is posing a police officer.

Oakland County sheriffβs officials have released a police sketch of a man they say has been impersonating a police officer, and are offering a $1,000 reward for the suspectβs capture and conviction.
The description was provided by a 23-year-old West Bloomfield Township man, who said he was pulled over by the fake cop on Friday between Duck Lake and Livingston roads, according to a police report.

Police said the suspect was driving an older model Crown Victoria β a staple in police fleets across the country β and activated a flashing blue light. He wore a baseball cap with the word βsheriffβ in white lettering.

When the suspect asked the motorist for his driverβs license and registration, he became suspicious and began asking questions, police said. The suspect said he was only giving the man a warning, returned to his vehicle and drove away.
Police said the dark-colored Crown Victoria didnβt have any external markings and the blue strobe light appeared to be mounted on the visor. The suspect is described as a young, heavyset white male about 6 feet tall. He was dressed in all dark clothing, with no uniform, badge, or insignia visible.
