A ceremonial keg tapping will occur at 9:00pm, where representatives from Westborn Market and The City of Royal Oak will tap a special Winter Keg.

Westborn Market is thrilled to present this year’s Fest, enthuses Marketing Director Bryan Bandyk.

“Growth of the craft beer category is staggering in our retail stores, and sponsoring Beer Fest is a great opportunity to support that growth and our craft beer vendors,” says Bandyk, who notes that Westborn offers a “Mix Pak – Craft Your Own Six” special of select craft beers at their retail locations for $9.99.  “There is a terrific local element at Beer Fest – from the beers and food products featured, to the venue itself being right in our Berkley location’s backyard,” he adds.

Proceeds from Winter Beer Fest 2013 will benefit Camp Casey, a 501c3 nonprofit horseback-riding program for children with cancer. Founded in 2003, Camp Casey is a Royal Oak-based nonprofit organization that offers three cost-free programs to children with cancer and their families. “Horsey House Calls” surprise children with a knock on the door and a horse on the doorstep for an afternoon of horse fun in the family's yard. “Cowboy Camp Outs” offer overnight getaways held at Michigan dude ranches. “Outlaw Outings” provide family-oriented activities without expense or hassle.

Whether a serious beer connoisseur or a weekend warrior – brew lovers will not want to miss Winter Beer Fest at the Royal Oak Music Theatre!
Advance tickets are available at the Westborn Market locations in Berkley, Dearborn and Livonia, as well as at the Royal Oak Music Theatre Box Office (248-399-2980).
