DCDS students present spooky Halloween night performance of "Dracula"

DCDS students present horror classic—running Oct. 23 through Halloween night—in the school's new studio theatre

Those who attend the debut show at the Nicole and Stephen Eisenberg Studio Theatre at Detroit Country Day School (DCDS), are in for a fright, as students perform the horror classic, “Dracula.” Opening Friday, Oct. 23, the show will conclude with a feature performance ending at midnight on Halloween night. This production is firmly rated PG-13 and is not appropriate for small children.

“Dracula” will be performed in DCDS’s new state-of-the-art studio theatre, which is designed for performances of small cast plays, musicals, and intimate music and dance recitals. The production of “Dracula” will showcase the space’s unique technical capabilities and provide an immersive, sensory-rich experience with dynamic lighting, evocative music and special effects.

“We are thrilled to have the extraordinary space and capabilities to present our vision of “Dracula,” said Jeffrey Michael Nahan, executive director at DCDS for Fine, Performing and Communication Arts. “Our talented students can flex their creative muscle in this space and create a performance experience that is truly extraordinary. Many thanks go out to Nicole and Stephen Eisenberg, for their great generosity in helping establish this theatre.”
