Local resident talks Mitt Romney's Birmingham ties as well as women entrepreneurs ahead of the presidential candidate's rally in Ohio.

Birmingham resident Jennifer Killeen met with Romney and his vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan Saturday while the pair campaigned in Powell, OH, located outside of Columbus.
Killeen, a marketing and media executive at Universal McCann, was chosen to join the Romney campaign Saturday morning, where she spoke with the pair about their recent visit to Michigan and Romney's connections with the Birmingham-Bloomfield area.

Women's issues and the economy were also high on Killeen's agenda with Romney, a subject that was reiterated during the rally later in Powell.
“Just a word to the women entrepreneurs out there,” Romney said, according to a report in Politico. “If we become president and vice president we want to speak to you, we want to help you.”
Following the meeting, Killeen tweeted her thanks to both Romney and Ryan. "Great mtg you in OH! Inspired by your plan for economy and job growth. Thanks for the BBQ rec! #women4mitt".
