Brian Renne and about two dozen other neighbors living near the brewery asked the Birmingham City Commission to reject the brewery’s plans for an outdoor dining area and entrance at the back of the building, the Detroit Free Press reports.

City commissioners required Griffin Claw to direct patrons to nearby commercial lots, prohibit employees from parking on residential streets and take other steps to expand parking options.
Commissioner Scott Moore told the neighbors the new parking-only-by-permit system used in neighborhoods bordering Birmingham downtown will deliver “a better quality of life.”
