📰 News we're reading

• Checking in on Michigan's classroom cellphone ban (candgnews.com) — Birmingham Public Schools' strict "bell-to-bell" cellphone and laptop policy is reshaping students' school days, with phones banned from first to last bell and Chromebooks drawing mixed reviews. Parents in the Birmingham-based PAACT group are split, citing inconsistent enforcement, tech frustrations, and hopes for fewer distractions. Other Metro Detroit districts report smoother classrooms and more student interaction under similar rules.
