TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants’ 66 Applebee’s Hosts Statewide Charity Challenge Benefiting Make-A-Wish Michigan, JDRF & MDA

Event hosted in honor of Make A Difference Day on October 22, TSFR to provide $5,000 donation to winning charity

Mich.-based TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual dining, quick-service and family dining restaurants throughout the state of Michigan, and its Michigan Applebee’s restaurants announced today that it will host a one-day, statewide charity challenge on October 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in honor of Make A Difference Day. The proceeds from the event will benefit Make-A-Wish Michigan, JDRF (formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). TSFR Director of Marketing Barb Pasciak made the announcement.

As part of the charity challenge, guests will be able to add a monetary donation to the charity, or charities, of their choice to their bill at each of the 66 TSFR Applebee’s restaurants. In exchange for a donation of at least $5, guests will receive a free dessert or appetizer of their choice from a select menu, as well as a $5 bounce back coupon that they can put toward their next Applebee’s visit. Those that donate $10 or more, will received a free dessert or appetizer of their choice from a select menu, as well as a $10 bounce back coupon that they can put toward their next Applebee’s visit. The charity that collects the most donations throughout the day will receive an additional $5,000 donation from TSFR and its Applebee’s restaurants with the remaining charities receiving a matching donation up to $2,500 from TSFR.

“As a leader in the restaurant industry dedicated to giving back to the communities we serve, we are honored to have established long-time relationships with Make-A-Wish Michigan, JDRF and MDA,” said Pasciak. “The work that these organizations do to improve the quality of life for many individuals is truly honorable. We hope that families will join us for this friendly challenge in an effort to increase awareness and funds for each organization, and ensure we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those in our communities.”
