Bloomfield Trash Collection Delayed For New Year's

Is cleaning out the closets or basement part of your New Year's routine or resolution? Just be prepared to wait an extra day for that stuff to be picked up.

Trash collection is delayed in most areas of Bloomfield Township this week due to the New Year's holiday. See the township's website for more details and to view a map of the specific pick-up zones and the respective pick-up times for the remainder of the week.

In nearby Beverly Hills, trash collection will also be delayed one day if you're trash is collected Tuesday through Friday.

Still unsure what to do with that Christmas tree? Oakland County will accept your Christmas trees at its self-serve Christmas tree recycling locations. Township residents unable to participate can put the tree, stripped of all decorations, out on their curb on their regular trash day from now through Jan. 31, officials said.
