Commercial Dumpster Vanishes Overnight in Bloomfield Township

Also from the police blotter, thousands of dollars worth of tools were reportedly stolen from a construction trailer.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – Someone — or several people — removed a commercial Dumpster from a business sometime overnight March 10-11, Bloomfield Township Police said.

The owner of the Subway restaurant at 3912 Inkster told police on Monday that the leasing company confirmed it hadn’t moved the mobile garbage bin. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bloomfield Township Police Department at (248) 433-7755.

The larceny was one of two reported to the police department this week.

The other involved the theft of several thousand dollars worth of tools from a construction trailer parked in the 2100 block of Klingensmith sometime between Feb. 14-March 10.

Both cases have been referred to the Investigations Division for follow-up.

Also from the police blotter, a homeowner living in the 1700 block of Strickland reported that the rear window of his vehicle had been shattered during the overnight hours of March 10.

Nothing was missing, police said.
