Drugs Stolen From Bloomfield Township Doctor's Office; Locker Larceny at LA Fitness

Bloomfield Township
Bloomfield Township police are investigating the theft of medication during a burglary at a doctor's office on the township's north side last week, reports said.
Officers responded to the office suite within the building at 43996 Woodward Ave. at about 1 p.m. on Sept. 28, after employees discovered signs of the break-in. The doctor's office was closed at the time, and the locked doors appeared to be pried open, according to reports.

The thief or thieves rifled through several cabinets, and an unknown amount of undisclosed medication was taken. Police reports show officers discovered physical evidence from the perpetrator at the scene, including fingerprints that are currently under examination. No other suspect information was available.
Larcenies
- A member of L.A. Fitness reported his locker was broken into while he worked out last Saturday evening, police said. The man told officers he arrived at the business at 6:30 p.m. and placed his clothes, wallet and watch in the locker and locked it. When he returned about 45 minutes later, he discovered the lock was cut off, and his property was missing. No suspect information was available.
- A sterling-silver flatware set valued at roughly $2,000 was taken from an estate sale in the 5300 block of Lane Lake Road, police reports said. The theft occurred sometime between Sept. 25-27 at the bank-owned home. No suspect information was available.
Larceny From Auto
- 7400 block of Pinehurst Circle: The homeowner told police his briefcase was taken from his 2012 Cadillac SRX, which was parked in the driveway overnight on Monday, reports said. The man said he discovered the black leather Tumi briefcase missing when he entered the vehicle the following morning. Inside it was a Macbook Air laptop computer and two battery packs collectively valued at about $3,000. The man said the vehicle was locked. Police no signs of forced entry or damage to the vehicle, according to the report.
- 2000 block of Bridle Road: A gas thief siphoned roughly three gallons of gas from the tank of a 2012 GMC Acadia parked in the driveway overnight Wednesday, police reports said. There was no damage to the vehicle, and no suspect information was available.
