Greenbaum was among candidates to apply for the position left vacant by Trustee Joseph Falik, who resigned in December. The board selected him following public interviews Saturday.

“This was a very difficult decision on the part of the Trustees," Board President Judy Lindstrom said in a news release. "Any one of the eight candidates would have been a tremendous asset on the Board.”
Greenbaum is a marketing and advertising specialist who shared several ideas about improving the visibility of library services to the community. The long-time township resident has also been involved with the library's strategic planning and 50th anniversary committees, officials said.
Bloomfield Townsip Clerk Jan Roncelli will issue Greenbaum the oath of office at the board's next regularly scheduled meeting on March 19 at 6:45 p.m.
