rescued one occupant from a vehicle struck on the northbound side of Telegraph Road Thursday afternoon, Capt. Jim Cieslak said. The crash occurred just before 3 p.m. and caused the shutdown of Telegraph just north of the Square Lake Road intersection for about an hour.

"It was an extrication where we had to cut the roof off the vehicle to get her out of the car," Cieslak said.

The female passenger in the vehicle was transported to a local hospital, and further details about her condition were unavailable Friday, Cieslak said. Another vehicle was involved in the crash, but no other serious injuries were reported. The crash was still under investigation by the , officials said.
