5 Things You Should Know About This Week

1. The Bloomfield Township Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Monday at Township Hall. Among the items on the agenda are an amendment to the zoning ordinance relating to the Design Review Board regulations. The proposed change would designate 2 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of every month as the scheduled meeting time, unless otherwise designated by the supervisor with proper notice to the public. The commission will also review the site plan for renovations to Carl’s Golfland. 

2. Animals from the around the world will be featured at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bloomfield Township Public Library. Participants will learn about animals and ecosystems from around the globe with the Wildlife Safari Co. in a hands-on animal adventure for ages 6 and older. 3. Bloomfield Hills Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. The board will discuss a request of the property owner at 680 Lone Pine Road for a zoning variance to construct a detached accessory building or garage in a front yard.
