Happy Tails: 'Dognapped' Kodi Comes Home

Acting on a tip, Bloomfield Township police found Siberian Husky at a residence in Independence Township.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – The “tail” of Kodi, a Siberian Husky stolen while his owner shopped at a Kroger store in Bloomfield Township, has a happy ending.

Police said late Tuesday they had received an anonymous tip that led them to an address in Independence Township, where the 10-month-old pup was found unharmed about 11 p.m.

The dog’s owner, Kevin Barnett, routinely took Kodi on a walk that ended up at the shopping center at Long Lake and Telegraph. About 7 p.m. Monday, he leashed Kodi to a pole, only to find him gone when he returned 20 minutes later.
