On the Agenda: Board to Discuss Lahser Road, Liquor License, Telegraph Sign
Bloomfield Township trustees will also consider an Oakland County Traffic Control Order, and don't be surprised if the supervisor appointment process comes up at 7 p.m. Monday.
The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees will consider utilizing $30,000 in unbudgeted funds as part of a tri-party agreement to help make Lahser Road improvements "shovel ready." The Road Commission for Oakland County has asked for funding to help move up the planned paving of Lahser between 14 Mile and Maple roads before 2015.
The entire project runs from Thirteen Mile Road and includes one mile in Beverly Hills. That city has agreed to fund the project at the same level.
Township officials said the township's road budget could be adjusted for the project, documents show.

Trustees also will review a liquor license transfer application for Hogan's Restaurant. Township documents show that the transfer from the name of the late Richard Bochenek to Restaurant Service Group LLC is for corporate business purposes only and that no changes will be made to day-to-day operations at the restaurant. Bloomfield Township Police Capt. Steve Cook will present the issue on behalf of the department, which recommends approval.
Also on the agenda, trustees will consider:

- Approving a revised Oakland County Traffic Control Order that updates the locations where motorists will be prohibited from turning on standing red lights.
- Awarding a $61,000 bid for the North Telegraph Gateway Sign Project for installation of a sign in the Telegraph median just south of Orchard Lake Road.
- Payroll and vouchers
Though it's not on the agenda, multiple township officials said they expect that the appointment process to replace Supervisor Dave Payne will come up in some capacity, whether it's by a member of the board or the public. The board limited the selection pool to current board members at a study session last Thursday. A formal review of potential candidates and a decision could be made at the July 25 meeting.
"There is still time before that meeting, and a lot of things can happen," said Treasurer Dan Devine, who has expressed interest in the post, along with Trustee Leo Savoie.
