The catalytic converter of a vehicle parked outside Georgian Bloomfield at 2975 N. Adams Rd. was stolen last month, police said. The incident occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Dec. 23, but was not reported until last week, according to reports.

Similar thefts were reported at Honda Bloomfield between Dec. 22 and Dec. 26, police currently are investigating at least a dozen different incidents since the spring. No suspect information is available.

The converters, which are used to filter engine emissions, are commonly targeted by thieves because of the valuable metal components inside, such as platinum or palladium.
