Police Blotter: Break-in, Larcenies and Home Invasion Reported in Bloomfield Township

Bloomfield Township

Bloomfield Township Police investigated multiple property crimes in the past week, according to reports.

Breaking and entering

Officer responded to an office in the 36700 Woodward Ave. on Monday morning and met with employees who reported a break-in to a locked suite, reports said. There were signs of forced entry, and a laptop and computer tower were stolen. The theft occurred sometime between Saturday and Monday. No suspect information was available.

Home Invasion

A resident in the 2100 block of Klingensmith Road reported that the home was entered sometime during the day Friday, according to police reports. Officers responded to the scene and found a pane of glass near a doorknob had been broken in order to gain access to the door's lock, the report said. Two laptops, a television, miscellaneous jewelry and a rifle were taken. No suspect information was available.

Larcenies

  • Personal property was taken from two unlocked vehicles parked overnight in the same driveway off of Lindenmere Drive last week, police reports said.Residents in the 7200 block of Lindenmere reported this week that an iPod and sunglasses were taken from separate vehicles sometime during Oct. 15-16. No suspect information was available.
  • A resident in the 4100 block of Far Hill Drive called police to report that someone stole a mountain bike from an open garage roughly two weeks ago. No suspect information was available.

Bloomfield Hills

Officials with the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety said there were no major police or firefighter incidents to report during the past week.
