This information was supplied by the Bloomfield Township Police Department, the Beverly Hills Department of Public Safety, and the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

Bloomfield Township
A Detroit woman is facing embezzlement charges for taking money from registers while working at the Bloomfield Township Target, police said.
Patrice Jasmin Jenkins, 19, was charged with felony counts of embezzlement last week after she was caught allegedly stealing cash at check-out registers, according to a Bloomfield Township police report. Store security became suspicious after tracking an unusual amount of price overrides at registers during her shift, police said.
Using surveillance cameras, investigators found she took the cash and used price overrides in an attempt to cover it up.

Beverly Hills
Officers with the Beverly Hills Department of Public Safety arrested a burglary suspect after a short search and foot chase that briefly put two schools on lockdown on Thursday.
A homeowner in the area of Long Bow Court and 14 Mile Road returned home ad found signs of break-in at about 11:15 a.m., a police report said. She saw a man running from the back of her home with boots in his hands. Officers converged on the scene and a K-9 unit from the Birmingham Police Department was called to assist.
An officer that set up a perimeter on the south end of the scene spoke with a mail carrier who reported a man matching the suspect's description run to the rear of a condominium complex about a half-mile from the original scene. The man was arrested after a short foot chase, and officers found cash and jewelry taken from the victim, the report said. Police determined he acted alone and no further details were available.
Berkshire Middle School and Detroit Country Day Schools were alerted to be on exterior lockdown, which was cancelled after about 30 minutes.
Bloomfield Hills
The Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety did not report any significant police activity or fire responses this week.
