Police Blotter: Narcotics Stolen from Pharmacy; Break-ins and Auto Thefts Reported

The following information was supplied by the Bloomfield Township Police Department and the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety. Arrests, where they are mentioned, do not indicate conviction.

 

Bloomfield Township

Prescription narcotics were stolen during a burglary at the Neuro Pain Care building last week. Bloomfield Township police officers responded to a burglar alarm at the , located 799 Denison Ct., at about 4:45 a.m. on April 2, and found the front glass door shattered, reports said. They also found the security gate to the business pried open and several bottles of prescription drugs were taken. No suspect information was available.

  • The tires and rims were removed from a vehicle for sale at the last week. Dealership employees reported the items, valued at roughly $10,000, were missing on April 2, police reports said. No suspect information was available.
  • Two laptop computers were taken from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a home in the 1600 block of Mark Hopkins Dr. sometime overnight between March 30 and March 31, reports said.
  • A vehicle in the Park and Ride lot at Adams Road and I-75 was broken into on April 3, reports said. A window was smashed out and a laptop and the vehicle's radio were taken.

Auto thefts

  • A 2012 Jeep Liberty parked in the driveway in a home in the 300 block of Sycamore Court was reported stolen on March 29, according to reports. The vehicle owner told police the Jeep was unlocked and that the keys were inside the vehicle. The theft occurred sometime overnight and no suspect information was available.
  • A work truck was taken from a Bloomfield Township business and later found damaged in Detroit, police reports said. The owner of Creative Brick Paving and Landscaping, located at 1751 Telegraph Rd., reported a 1999 Ford F-150 was found with damage to the steering column in Detroit on April 2. The vehicle was taken sometime between March 31 and April 2. No suspect information was available.

Bloomfield Hills

Officers with the took a fraudulent use of a credit card report from a resident that involves a local business, reports said. The woman arrived at the department headquarters at about 4 p.m. on March 29 and said she and a friend used their credit cards at a business located in the 1000 block of East Long Lake Road about two weeks earlier. On March 17, the woman's credit card company called and reported her account was closed due to fraudulent activity. Police are not releasing the name of the business at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
