Shoplifter arrested after police spot vehicle
Bloomfield Township police officers responded to Cary Ann’s Hallmark for a shoplifting complaint on Sunday, and shortly after arrested a 55-year-old Pontiac woman who allegedly stole $75 worth of jewelry, police reports said.
Employees told officers the woman left the store about 9:45 a.m. with several pieces of jewelry without paying for them. They gave police a vehicle description and license plate number of the vehicle the woman left in, and it was spotted entering Telegraph Road at the Bloomfield Town Square a short time later.
