Police Release Name of Man Killed in Weekend Crash on Telegraph
Alexander Leskiv of Lake Orion died Saturday when another motorist struck his disabled vehicle along the southbound lanes in Bloomfield Township.
The Bloomfield Township Police Department on Monday released the name of the man who was killed Saturday while trying to repair his vehicle along Telegraph Road on the township's north side.
Alexander Leskiv, 49, of Lake Orion, was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle crash near the intersection of southbound Telegraph Road and Humphrey Avenue, Capt. Scott McCanham said. He was reportedly assessing or repairing some damage to the 1992 Toyota Camry along the left shoulder when it was hit by a 2011 Ford pickup truck at about 6:40 p.m.
Leskiv was pinned under his vehicle, and a passenger inside suffered minor injuries. There were no injuries reported in the other vehicle.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Southeast Oakland County Crash Investigation Team (SOCCIT). McCanham said that per department procedure, the final report will be submitted to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office for review.
