Remember, Heavily Traveled Route Closes Thursday
The road will close in Bloomfield Township and Birmingham on March 3, first for utility relocation and then reconstruction

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI – Before you set out on your commute, keep in mind that a section of Big Beaver Road will close Thursday, March 3, and remain closed for several months for a utility project and road reconstruction.
The road will close from Woodward Avenue (M-1) and Adams Road in Bloomfield Township and Birmingham to accommodate utility relocation work by Consumer’s Energy.

The utility relocation work will be completed by about May 31, the Road Commission of Oakland County said, but the road will remain closed for reconstruction of that section.
Business and residential access will be maintained throughout the project, the Road Commission for Oakland County said.
