3 p.m., Sunday: DTE estimates power will be restored to Bloomfield Township residents sometime between 11 p.m. tonight and 1 a.m. Monday morning. Nearly 250 customers located just south of Lone Pine Road and west of Telegraph Road lost power during severe thunderstorms that swept through the area shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday.

9:50 a.m., Sunday: Nearly 250 Bloomfield Township residents south of Lone Pine Road and west of Telegraph Road remain without power as of 9:40 a.m., according to the DTE outage map. Electricity for more than 1,500 residents was restored for those clustered between 14 Mile Road and Walnut Lake Road west of Telegraph Road sometime overnight. They joined several thousands of other households stretching into West Bloomfield that lost power late Saturday afternoon. No estimated restoration time was given.

10:03 p.m.: The number of DTE customers who have lost power is now estimated at 60,000 after Saturday's severe weather, spokesman Alejandro Bodipo-Memba said, adding that  and  were among the hardest-hit areas. He said the company hopes to have most customers' power restored by Sunday morning. "We'll have crews working throughout the night," he said.

 "We're hoping to get the majority of folks back up tomorrow morning," DTE spokesman Alejandro Bodipo-Memba said. "That doesn't mean everybody, but the majority." He cautioned residents to stay at least 20 feet away from downed power lines and anything with which they come in contact and to report downed wires immediately by calling 800-477-4747. "We want everybody to be safe," he said

Officers with the said they have been busy responding to numerous power outage reports this evening after a powerful storm system passed through Oakland County.

The DTE outage map shows that nearly 4,000 residents in Bloomfield Township were without power this evening. All significant outages are west of Telegraph Road, and most are clustered between 14 Mile Road and Walnut Lake Road, stretching into West Bloomfield.

Another outage just south of Lone Pine Road and west of Telegraph Road is affecting 245 residents, according to DTE. No estimated restoration time was available by 6 p.m.

Another 1,000 residents in an area between 13 Mile and 14 Mile roads and Cranbrook Road are also affected, the map shows.

A line of thunderstorms barreled through Oakland County between 4:30-5 p.m. with heavy winds and torrential rains. Thousands of people are without power in several Oakland County communities due to downed lines and fallen trees, including more than 4,000 people in Royal Oak.
