Tips Coming In, But No Arrest In Violent Bloomfield Township Home Invasion

Police said they are investigating several leads provided by the neighbors and public about last week's incident.

The public responded to police calls for increased vigilance after group of burglars bound an elderly Bloomfield Township woman to a bed and robbed her last week, officials said.

Investigators have not made any arrests but continue to work on several leads provided by neighbors on Rambling Way and other sources since the Aug. 17 incident, Bloomfield Township Police Lt. Phil Langmeyer said.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of Rambling Way after the woman reported four or five masked men broke into her home at about 2 a.m., reports said. She confronted the intruders, who then bound her to the bed as they stole silver flatware. The woman was not injured.

"We've gotten a few tips from people in the neighborhood and are actively investigating those to hopefully identify the suspects," Langmeyer said.
