Tools Stolen From Lahser High School Van

Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department are investigating the theft of tools from a van parked at Lahser High School sometime overnight this week.
Employees with the Bloomfield Hills Schools contacted police about the missing items after discovering someone broke into the van the morning of March 19, police reports said. The exact number and value of the stolen items was undetermined and will finalized once district staff completes a formal inventory. No suspect information was available, but police investigators and school officials are working together to develop a list.

Homeowner scares off intruder
A resident in the 5000 block of North Adams Way told police they were home during the afternoon on March 14 when a stranger walked into the residence through the front door. The man saw the resident and left quickly through the same door.
Officers searched the area, but did not locate the man. He was described as being in his 30s, thin and about 6-feet-tall, reports said. Detectives are now trying to identify the man and determine if the entry was intentional or accidental.

Cash stolen at Kroger
A shopper told police that $500 was taken from his wallet by someone after he finished at the Kroger in Bloomfield Township. The man said he accidentally left his wallet in a shopping cart on the afternoon of March 14, reports said. When he discovered it missing a short time later, the man returned to the store and learned that another customer found the wallet and turned it in to the customer service desk.
The man found the wallet at the desk, but when he looked through it found that $500 cash was missing. The investigation is ongoing.
Fraud reported
A resident in the 2000 block of Telegraph Road told police on March 15 that he just became aware of multiple frauds involving his bank account, reports said.
As of the day the report, $3,000 was missing from the man's account, and bank officials said someone tried to have a check drafted for $40,000 sent to someone in Georgia. Reports said the bank denied the check request and officials are working with investigators to determine the source of the fraud.
