Another vehicle parked outside a Bloomfield Township fitness center was burglarized in broad daylight, Bloomfield Township police said.

Officers responded to the L.A. Fitness on July 22 after the vehicle’s owner returned to find her purse missing, reports said. The vehicle was unlocked and left unattended between roughly 2:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.

Reports said an ATM card, credit cards and personal identification cards were inside the purse. The ATM card was used shortly after the theft, at a Bloomfield Township gas station, police said, but no arrests were made. The case remains under investigation.

It is unclear if the theft is related to one reported last week that involved damage to a vehicle.

Officers responded to the Bally’s Total Fitness shortly after a patron discovered the passenger side window of her vehicle was completely smashed in and a purse containing cash and credit cards was missing just before 8 p.m. July 15, reports said. The theft occurred sometime between 6:15 and 7:50 p.m. Investigators learned one of the cards was used in Southfield shortly after the theft, but no suspect information was available.
