The campaign hopes to raiseΒ $20,000 for Orndorf and his mother and has already raised more than $9,000.
Sara FarajΒ created the fundraiserΒ onΒ GoFundMe.comΒ in November. The page continues to give updates regarding Orndorff's condition.

"To everyone who has donated, I want to say thank you so much. Literally, without your support, I would not have been able to be at Tom's side on Christmas Eve and Day. It means the world to me to be able to be with him, and we know it's helping the healing process."
