Clawson Preschool Hosts Open House October 2

CLAWSON, MI. – The Clawson Public Schools Early Childhood Center will host its Preschool Open House Wednesday, October 2, from 6:15 to 8:00 p.m. The Early Childhood Center is located at 626 Phillips, Clawson.

The Open House provides a time for parents of children ages 2-5 to visit the school, see the classrooms and meet the teachers.

Clawson’s  Early Childhood Center offers numerous pre-K programs so families can choose the one that fits their needs.

·         Childcare Program – For families in search of traditional childcare. Open year-round, this program offers quality childcare from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for infants, toddlers, 3- and 4-year olds. In addition, Clawson offers before and after school child care programs for children in grades K-5.

·         Early Childhood Special Education Program & Services – Services from birth to age 3 include home visits and on-site services while older children up to age 5 can enroll in the district’s Early Childhood Special Education preschool program.

·         Tuition-based Preschool – Preschool classes meet for two hours, two days a week for 3-year-olds and three hours either two or four days a week for 4-year-olds. A popular Parent/Tot class meets for two hours two days a week.

·         Great Start Readiness Program – For 4-year-olds getting ready to attend kindergarten. This is a free fully licensed, state-funded program for qualifying families who live in Oakland County and meet eligibility requirements.

Clawson welcomes Schools of Choice students from Oakland County for Developmental Kindergarten through 11th Grades.
