10th Annual American Arab Professionals Network Celebrating Success Banquet

The American Arab Professionals Network of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce hosts its 10th Annual “Celebrating Success” Banquet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Bint Jebail Cultural Center in Dearborn. The Celebrating Success Banquet is made possible by the generosity of JP Morgan Chase.

The Banquet features keynote address by Shinola President, Jacques Panis. The event attracts more than 500 Arab-American professionals from Southeast Michigan, including local and state elected officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, chamber members and business community members.

The Annual “Celebrating Success” Banquet recognizes Arab American Professionals who have proven success in their fields and are furthering the interest of the Arab American Professional Community. Awardees are Arab Americans actively involved in their communities and are professional leaders in their fields. The 2015 AAPN “Celebrating Success” Banquet honors six “American Arab Professional of the Year” awardees:

Creative Arts - Adnan Charara, Artist
Education - Fouad Zaban, Teacher and Football Coach, Fordson High School, Dearborn
Finance - Kenan Basha, Rockbridge Growth Equity
Legal - Karen Khalil, Chief Judge, 17th District Court, MI
Medical - Dr. Mounir Gazayerli, MD
Technology - Rami Debouk, General Motors R&D

The Chamber also awards the “Champion of Diversity”, this year recognizing and commending Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan for their support of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, in turn transforming our community into a truly inclusive environment where individuals are valued for their talent and able to reach their full potential.
