Novelist Chris Stepien, former producer-director at WXYZ-TV, Detroit will deliver his first author talk at a Biblical luncheon in Dearborn, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 11:30 a.m.
His novel, "Three Days: The Search for the Boy Messiah," is based on a puzzling Gospel story (Luke 2:41-52) about a provocative event in the life of 12-year-old Jesus. Stepien will discuss the spiritual trek that led him to pen his book, and describe the real-world lifestyle and times of preteen Jesus. To learm more about the novel, visit: www.TheBoyMessiah.com.
A Dearborn resident and Dearborn Sacred Heart Church parishioner, Stepien earned six Detroit Emmy awards for his work at Channel 7, plus a national Emmy nomination for a documentary series.

Vic Faust, current Channel 7 News Anchor, will speak briefly about his own faith journey and introduce Stepien's author talk.
Nationally-acclaimed, Dearborn designer and illustrator, Gary Ciccarelli will also attend the event. Ciccarelli designed the book's cover, donating his services to the publisher, Stepien Creative Services, Inc.

Stepien's longtime friend, the Emmy-award winning actor, Rev. Fr. Joseph "Bernie" Marquis of Sacred Heart Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Livonia, will emcee the luncheon at Fr. Patrick O'Kelley Banquet Hall, 23663 Park St., Dearborn, MI 48124. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the Knights will serve a simple, Biblical buffet at 11:45 a.m.
