Livonia Junior Chamber Hosts 'Lagers for Lunches'
The first annual Lager for Lunches, a unique beer tasting event, is raising proceeds to fight hunger.

Presented by the Livonia Junior Chamber, the first ever Lagers for Lunches is a unique craft beer tasting event that goes towards a great cause!
This event is hosted at One Under Craft Beers & Eats on Friday, November 21 from 7-11pm. Attendees will get to sample beers from all over the country with an emphasis on Michigan breweries like Vandermill, Shorts, Atwater and more.
The event has a strong charity component, as proceeds will go towards an initiative to pay off school lunch debts within the city of Livonia. The Livonia Junior Chamber donated over $1,000 last year to three local schools and are planning on widening the impact with this event.

“Our group identified a growing problem with our community schools,” Livonia School Board Member and Junior Chamber Project Chair Dan Centers said. “Our schools are working hard to make sure there are no kids going hungry without a lunch. However, the costs were cutting into other valuable areas. We wanted to give back to those schools to cover those costs and make it easier for all kids to get a balanced meal.”
Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased at http://lagersforlunches.eventbrite.com. Each ticket gives the attendees 15 drink tickets and appetizers.
