Susan Whitall, the longtime music critic for the Detroit News and one of the first women to edit a rock n'roll magazine when she worked at Creem, will be signing her books, "Women of Motown" (Devault-Graves, Oct. 2017) and "Fever: Little Willie John's Fast Life, Mysterious Death and the Birth of Soul (Titan).
Dearborn resident Patricia Montemurri will be autographing her book, "Detroit Gesu Catholic Church and School," (Arcadia Publishing, Oct. 2017). The book features nearly 200 photos from 1922 through today
chronicling one of Detroit's most influential Catholic parishes. It was home to four Detroit mayors, former U.S. Rep. John Dingell, famous athletes, actor Keegan-Michael Key, and the late R&B artist Aaliyah.
Proceeds from the book benefit Gesu School, one of four Catholic elementary schools still open in Detroit -- compared to 108 such schoolsin the mid-1960s.

Another Dearborn resident, Jennifer Czerwick Ganem will join the pair. Ganem will have copies of her book,
"Dearborn Inn," (Arcadia Publishing, Nov. 2011) featuring images of the world-famous hotel built by Henry and Edsel Ford in 1931. She will also be signing her latest book, "Dear Genevieve--Between Friends: A 1930s
Time Capsule" released this month. It's based on letters sent to Ganem's great aunt, Genevieve Woloszynski, who lived in a familiar house on Greenfield Ave. next to Dearborn's Capri Bakery. The letters, from a
friend in Brooklyn, NY and which were recovered during the home's demolition, reveal a fascinating glimpse of life in America between 1928-1935.
