Still a Few Chances to Attend Outdoor Concerts Before Summer Slips Away
The "Music Under the Stars" series wraps up with Aug. 27 and Sept. 3 concerts; "Friday Nights in the Park" returns Aug. 28.

There are still two chances to catch a show before the Dearborn Recreation & Parks Department wraps up its “Music Under the Stars” free outdoor concert series.

The concerts on Aug. 27 and Sept. 3 start at 7:30 p.m. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Motor Honey, featuring an eclectic, refreshing mix of rock, soul and funky grooves, will headline the Aug. 27 “Funk and Dunk” concert on the deck of Dunworth Pool at Levagood Park.

The series wraps up with a performance Sep. 3 at Dearborn High Golf Course by The Phoenix Theory, a group specializing in classic rock and dance favorites from the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s and today.
Also, the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority concludes its “Friday Nights in the Park” concert series, presented at Bryant Library Muirhead Plaza, 22100 Michigan Ave, 6:30-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, with a concert featuring The Beat Club (Beatles Tribute).
A food truck rally will be in the parking lot across the alley from the Aug. 28 concert from 5 to 9 p.m.
