Who is credited with introducing the first coffee table book?

Coffee table books offer an amazing variety of images and information.   While usually oversized and too bulky to carry around, they are a perfect fit for a formal living room table or a spot on a hearth in a family room.  Whether thumbing through the glossy pages during a quiet moment or sharing it with children or friends, a coffee table book is bound to offer some insight into your interests.  Categories range from art to nature to pop culture and on and on.  You can bet that the AAUW-Dearborn Used Book Sale will have a wonderful collection to choose from.

This year the sale will feature a Premier Room where coffee table books, collectable books, books considered "special selections" and children books will be offered.   The Premier Room will also have a variety of DVD's and Book Bags made by members of AAUW-Dearborn.  The sale runs from September 19th through September 21st.  Bag Day pricing begins September 21st.  And this year there is a Post-Sale Literacy Day on September 22nd from 1-4.  Books are free to Educators, Learners and Charities.  More information is available at http://www.booksale-aauw-dearborn.info/ .

And as to the answer to last week's questions, Where did Ernest Hemingway claim to stop writing during his daily writing sessions?

Find out what's happening in Dearbornfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

The answer:  He claimed to stop writing each session in the middle of a sentence.  For any writer that shivers at the idea of returning to a blank page, Hemingway had a brilliant way of solving that issue.
