The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement Tuesday that additional information about the arrests won’t be released until a charging decision is made. An expected arraignment on Tuesday did not take place.

Both the woman and another individual are in custody, according to media reports.

“I don’t have all the details on (the arrests), but I know she is in custody as well as another individual,” Detroit Police Officer Dan Donakowski told The Detroit News. “More details will be come out a little bit later.”

The bizarre sequence of events took place about 4:20 a.m. Sunday at a Mobil gas station in the 15510 block of Fenkell.

The video shows a heated argument, the woman grabbing a semi-automatic gun from an older model Dodge Charger, pulling it from under her skirt and pointing it into the passenger window of a Pontiac Grand Prix. Also shown is a struggle for the gun, and a woman’s companion being partially run over by the fleeing Pontiac Grand Prix.

Police said the driver was struck multiple times. Both the driver and the individual who was run over suffered non-fatal injuries, police said.

The surveillance video was available under a program known as Project Lighthouse, a partnership between Detroit police and and business owners that designates facilities with 24-hour surveillance cameras, green lights and signs and live links to the police department’s Real Time Crime Center.
