Woman, 26, Could Face Charges In Fatal Dearborn Crash: Police
The crash happened last Friday at the intersection Michigan Avenue and Nowlin Street, near Outer Drive.

DEARBORN, MI — A woman who caused a fatal crash in Dearborn last Friday could face charges, police announced Wednesday.
Dearborn Police plan to turn over their findings to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office after they receive a toxicology report to determine if the Taylor woman was driving drunk, police said.
Police said the 26-year-old woman was speeding over 100 miles per hour in an SUV east on Michigan Avenue at 7:59 a.m. Friday morning when she failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Nowlin Street and hit a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

A 33-year-old Dearborn woman who was driving the pickup truck was killed in the crash, according to police.
News reports identified the woman killed in the crash as Ghada Mustapha, who was a doctor, wife and mother of three.

The 26-year-old Taylor woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she was listed in critical condition, according to police.
Police said the woman was still hospitalized as of Wednesday afternoon.
"My heart breaks for those affected by this truly tragic accident. I share in our community’s grief over the loss of a beloved mother, talented physician, and respected leader. While we continue to pursue this investigation, we remain steadfast in our commitment to seek and deliver justice, including by pursuing criminal charges," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said.
