1 Dead, 1 Injured In Wrong Way Head-On Crash In Detroit: Police
Michigan State Police do not know if drugs or alcohol were played a role in the crash. Police were still investigating the crash.

DETROIT — A driver was killed and another was injured in a Friday morning wrong-way crash on a Detroit freeway, according to Michigan State Police.
Police said the driver of a Ford Fusion was heading north in the southbound lanes of the Lodge Freeway From Larned Street near the Interstate 75 collector lanes and Trumbull Avenue at 4:35 a.m.
As troopers headed to the area, the wrong-way driver in a Ford Fusion slammed into a GMC Sierra pick-up truck head-on, police said.

The driver inside the Ford Fusion was killed in the crash, police said. Police did not identify the driver.
The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to a nearby hospital for a medical evaluation after sustaining minor injuries in the crash, police said.

"Currently it has not been determined where the at fault driver entered the freeway or if impairment is involved," Michigan State Police First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "This investigation pends the medical examiner report."
