2 Shot, 1 Fatally At Detroit Wellness Clinic; Shooter Flees: Cops
Police said a man returned to the clinic at 6309 Mack Ave. in Detroit after he was told to leave earlier and shot the two security guards.
DETROIT — A security guard was fatally shot and another was wounded after a shooter opened fire Wednesday afternoon at a wellness center on Detroit's east side, police said. The wounded security guard was listed in temporary serious condition as of Wednesday afternoon.
Police said a man was asked to leave the mental health facility at 6309 Mack Ave. earlier Wednesday, and returned later with his hands in his coat pocket.
After the two security guards confronted the man about his hands in his pockets, he shot the two security guards and ran away, police said. Officers did not have much information about the shooter Wednesday afternoon, but were looking for the man they believe did the shooting.
