DETROIT — Three kids were injured Tuesday after a neighboring house exploded in Detroit, according to multiple reports citing city officials.

The children were taken to Ascension St. John Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports.

The house exploded at 3 p.m. in the area of 7 Mile Road and Barlow Street, just east of Hoover Street, according to reports.

A neighboring house also suffered extensive damage in the explosion, according to reports.

Fire officials do not know if anyone was inside the home when it exploded, according to reports.
