3 Kids Injured After Neighboring Home Explodes In Detroit: Reports

DETROIT — Three kids were injured Tuesday after a neighboring house exploded in Detroit, according to multiple reports citing city officials.

The children were taken to Ascension St. John Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports.

The house exploded at 3 p.m. in the area of 7 Mile Road and Barlow Street, just east of Hoover Street, according to reports.

A neighboring house also suffered extensive damage in the explosion, according to reports.

Fire officials do not know if anyone was inside the home when it exploded, according to reports.

Fire officials do not know what caused the explosion, but deemed the house a total loss, according to reports.

Officials were still investigating the incident.
