Detroit Cop Arrested On Suspicion Of Drunk Driving In Macomb Co: Cops
The officer was placed in an administrative duty while the department's Internal Affairs still investigates the incident, police said.
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — An off-duty Detroit officer was arrested Sunday after crashing his car while driving drunk in Clinton Township, according to police.
Police did not say where the crash happened, how many vehicles were involved or if there were any injuries.
Clinton Township police said all individuals involved with the crash cooperated fully with the investigation, which is closed and no further information will be released.

Officials within the Detroit Police Department confirmed the suspected drunken driver arrested in the crash was an officer and was off-duty at the time of his arrest. The officer's name was not released.
"These alleged actions are disappointing. There is a high standard of conduct that all Detroit Police Officers have sworn to uphold. Under no circumstances will the DPD condone acts of drunk driving by any of its members," Detroit Police said in a statement.
